Michael Harden
Michael Harden is a seasoned technology executive and legal expert. He is the Chief Technology Officer and General Counsel at Disney Group International. With over 30 years of experience in the tech industry, Michael seamlessly blends his expertise in technology and law, playing a key role in driving strategic initiatives that balance innovation with regulatory compliance.
Michael served in the United States Army for ten years . He’s an advocate for disabled veterans.
Michael holds a BS from Franklin University, a JD from Capital University Law School, an MBA from Capital University Graduate School of Business, and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Villanova University. Continuing Executive Education from University of Chicago Booth School of Business. This diverse academic background equips him with the skills to navigate complex legal frameworks while fostering technological advancement.
Michael is a Mensa Society Member. Mensa is a global organization for people with high IQs; it was founded in England in nineteen forty-six and requires members to score in the top two percent on a recognized intelligence test.
A passionate advocate for diversity in tech, Michael is dedicated to mentoring young professionals. He regularly speaks at industry conferences, offering his insights on the intersection of technology, law, and ethics. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and making scented candles. He is also an active Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Life Member.
During his tenure at Oracle Consulting Services, he was recognized among the top 3% of global consultants, earning a prestigious award for outstanding performance. Additionally, he distinguished himself as one of the top consultants in Oracle’s State and Local Practice, significantly contributing to high-impact projects for Oracle Corporation.
In 2015, Franklin University Nationwide Library, Student Services, and the Alumni office invited Michael to participate in a project to share his veteran's story. The Library of Congress' American Folklife Center is collecting the stories of U.S. veterans so that future generations better understand the realities of war from the people who lived it. These interviews were submitted to the Library of Congress and were accessible to the Franklin community.
